Wirelurker: malware for Mac OS and iOS too

The company Palo Alto Networks has published a report in which they analyse a new malware, Wirelurker, affecting also Mac OS and iOS devices. Wirelurker, which would have been active at least six months before being identified by the company. It would have trojanized a total of 467 applications of the market "Miyadi App Store", through which it could have affected hundreds of thousands of users.

Wirelurker is able to install third party applications in devices without jailbreak, infecting iOS applications or automating the generation of malicious applications for iOS. It is transmitted through infected OS X computers, in which it monitors USB connections with iOS devices.

Wirelurker versions for Windows have also been found.
