Vulnerable aircraft entertainment system
The Spanish researcher Rubén Santamarta, from IOActive, has published how to exploit a vulnerability in the Panasonic Avionics In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system to modify the passenger displays, the cabin lighting or the advertising system. This issue could be used to undermine flight safety in some systems where there is no physical separation between the control network and the entertainment network.
