United States elevates Cyber-command to Unified Combatant Command
Previously, the US Cibercomando (USCYBERCOM) was dependent on the United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) ,that is, sub-unified and under the protection of the National Security Agency (NSA), but due to the importance of both defensive operations as offensive in cyberspace, as well as to maintaining a dominant position in it, President Donald Trump has ordered to unify it, thus allowing the chain of command to be directly between the president and/or secretary of defense with that command.
