Unauthorized access affects the Barnes & Noble bookstore chain
The US bookstore chain, Barnes & Noble, has reported unauthorized and illegal access to certain systems of its IT infrastructure, and its electronic platform Nook was also affected by this incident.
The event, which occurred on October 10, did not affect customer financial data, but it did cause access to email addresses, billing and shipping, and telephone numbers. On the other hand, users have not been able to download content on their devices.
The company is investigating the incident and is working to fully restore all its services after having disconnected its systems.
