Tesla servers involved to mine cryptocurrency

Redlock’s researchers found an intrusion into Amazon Web Services, belonging to Tesla, which had no access credentials and was open to the public Internet.

The undefined hackers accessed the Tesla cloud and used it to extract cryptocurrencies.

RedLock found some instances used to extract cryptocurrencies. The hackers used cryptocurrency mining software called Stratum also limited software resources to mask their activity.

Tesla solved the problem in two days and awarded the researchers for reporting their findings.
