Software AG, victim of ransomware
The IT infrastructure of the German company, Software AG, has fallen victim to the Clop ransomware, which is asked for a ransom of $ 23 million.
The incident, which occurred on October 3, involved access to the company's internal network, compromising data on the company's servers and the laptops of its employees. Customer data has not been affected.
Faced with this incident, Software AG shut down its internal systems, in accordance with its security protocol, launched an investigation to contain a major data leak, and refused to pay the ransom.
