Security incident at University of Burgos


University of Burgos has suffered a cyberattack due to an unauthorized access to personal data.

According to the Rectorate, the incident took place on January 14th, at 9:30, affecting some users only and without neither any bank data nor email password had been compromised.

After finding out the incident, Internet access has been moved away from affected devices and databases have been moved to a secure environment, following a contingency and continuity plan.

The attack is still being investigated and it was notified the State Security Forces and the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
