The Scottish Parliament, victim of a cyber attack
The Scottish parliament has been the victim of a brute force attack on their systems in order to access e-mail accounts and other on-line services of parliamentarians. According to Paul Grice, the president of parliament, the systems have not been compromised, however the National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) is working in conjunction with the Business Information Technology (BIT) to establish additional security measures in order to mitigate future attacks. The source of the attack has not yet been identified.
