The San Francisco metro network suffers a ransomware attack

11/27/2016

The San Francisco metro system has been infected by ransomware, affected about 900 of its computers. For two days the service was provided free of charge, since the machines to take out tickets or to buy fertilizers were blocked by ransomware. The cybercriminal responsible for the infection requested a rescue of 100 Bitcoin, about 70,000 euros to change. The security officials of the subway, managed to solve the incident without having to pay the ransom.
