Razer suffers an information leak that affects thousands of users

Razer, a Singapore-based multinational technology company that designs, develops, and sells consumer electronics, financial services and gaming hardware, has accidentally exposed the personal information of around 100,000 users.

This leak, discovered by security researcher Bob Diachenko, originated due to a poor configuration of the company's Elasticsearch cluster, which left a wide range of information such as full name, email, phone number, available to the public. , internal customer identification, order number, order details, billing and shipping address.

Diachenko immediately informed Razer of his discovery, and after a few days the company informed him that they had already taken all the necessary measures to fix the problem, as well as to carry out a comprehensive review of their systems and IT security.
