Malware infiltrated on the Monero official website
The official website of the well-known Monero crypto currency had published for a few hours the binaries of its CLI wallet application that contained a malware.
This unauthorized modification of the web server was detected by a user by checking that the application hash did not match with the verification hash provided by Monero.
From the Monero website it is strongly to users that downloaded the binaries on Monday 18 November between 2:30am UTC and 4:30pm UTC not to run the binary as it contains a malware for the theft of the crypto currencies of their wallets.
The causes of this incident are currently unknown.
