The Luxembourg National Commission for Data Protection imposes a fine on Amazon

07/30/2021

The Luxembourg National Commission for Data Protection (CNPD) has imposed a fine of €746 million on Amazon due to allegedly not complying with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The fine, which dates back to 16th of July, is unfounded for Amazon, which disagrees with the ruling and intends to appeal for it, defending the fact that no customer data has been compromised.
