Joint operation against Ramnit botnet

The Europol has led a joint operation for taking down the Ramnit botnet. In this operation, law enforcement agencies from Germany, Holand, Italy and the UK, in collaboration with AnubisNetworks, Microsoft and Symantec, have joined their efforts. As a result, the botnet's command and control servers have been shut down, and a total of 300 Internet domains controlled by the botnet operators have been redirected.

The Ramnit botnet has been active since 2010, having infected approximately 3.2 million computers around the world.
