08/03/2017

Marcus Hutchins, the young man who managed to stop the ransomware WannaCry, has been arrested by US authorities accused of being the creator of the computer Trojan Kronos, and selling it in underground forums between 2014 and 2015. This Trojan was designed to steal credentials from Bank accounts, credit card numbers plus other financial data.

Marcus, a British national, was arrested in the United States after attending computer security conventions Black Hat and Def Con. According to some reports, the young man told police to be the creator of Kronos, however, his Declaration to the court was totally contrary to being declared innocent.

To date and after paying a bond of $ 30,000, the computer analyst is free but without the possibility of leaving the United States.
