Investigations to clarify the heist to Bangladesh Central Bank, in which $81M were stolen, has discovered a malware resident in SWIFT network. This malware allows sending fraudulent messages, taking advantage of a platform that connects more than 11000 banking institutions. In order to mitigate the risks, SWIF released a security update of the software used to connect.
