Information leak at MyDeal
MyDeal, a subsidiary of Woolworths Group, has suffered a security incident confirmed by the parent company, in which a compromised user credential was used to gain unauthorised access to the subsidiary's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. This incident affected 2.2 million customer data.
The MyDeal customer data accessed includes customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers, delivery addresses and, in some cases, date of birth. Woolworths said it is working with the relevant authorities to investigate the incident.
