2.7 million credit cards of HSBC Turkey exposed

The HSBC announced that their systems suffered a major security breach in which about 2.7 million credit cards of their Turkish branch were exposed, including customer names, card expiry dates, their card numbers and linked account numbers. The attack was discovered by HSBC staff through internal controls. The company has assured that its customers have not been affected financially despite the importance of the incident.
