French Scorpene submarines data leaked
French submarine firm DCNS has suffered a massive data leak with information on its model Scorpène, built in shipyards in several countries, as revealed by the newspaper 'The Australian'. More than 22,000 pages of documents were stolen in 2011 in a computer attack. The documents would refer to technical manuals and models of antennas used underwater. The Scorpène submarines are used in India, Malaysia and Chile. Other customers DCNS are Egypt and Brazil. In April, the company DCNS won the award of a new contract twelve devices in Australia. The French government is conducting an investigation.
