FossHub hacked and infected most of its programs

Fosshub, one of the largest Internet open source software repositories was hacked on 2 August via a network service without authentication that was exposed to Internet. The attackers replaced the legitimate versions of programs as well known as qBittorrent, Audacity, Classic Shell, MKVToolNix or Calibre with other infected with a malware that modified the Master Boot Record (MBR), thereby preventing computers could start. Fosshub restored hours later all versions.
