Europol operation disrupts iSpoof
iSpoof, a tool offered to cybercriminals to enable them to carry out their phishing activity, has been dismantled in a global operation, led by the London Metropolitan Police with the support of Europol and Eurojust, resulting in the arrest of 142 suspects.
The operation, which involved authorities in Europe, Australia, the United States, Canada and Ukraine, dismantled the website that allowed fraudsters to spoof companies or trusted contacts to gain access to victims' sensitive information. Losses are estimated at more than €115 million.
