Denmark's rail transport paralysed due to cyberattack
DSB (Discover Denmark by train) has been forced to shut down rail traffic in the country where it operates, Denmark, due to a security breach in a critical application affecting its operations. Following the attack, Supeo, a subcontractor of DSB (the country's largest railway company), contacted the customer to report that its test environment had been compromised by cyberattackers.
A DSB representative told the media that this is not a cybercrime against the infrastructure or the company itself, but is economic in nature. As a result, Supeo has been forced to shut down its servers.
