Data from millions of Aptoide users exposed
Aptoide, an alternative market for mobile applications that runs on the Android operating system, has been the victim of a cyberattack that has led to the leakage of information from the data of 20 million users of the platform.
The leaked data includes the user's email address, encrypted password, and real name, as well as the registration date and IP address, device details, and birthdate.
The affected users are those who have an account in Aptoide, a requirement not necessary to download the applications and that, according to the platform in its official statement, constitute 3% of total users.
