Data breach affecting Movistar and O2 customers

Telefónica has reported an irregular access to its IT systems from suspicious IP addresses, compromising personal data of Movistar and O2 customers, with the exception of financial data, call logs and login credentials.

The incident has now been resolved and the company has notified all affected parties via SMS or email, according to the Data Protection Act. So far, there is no evidence of fraudulent use of the stolen data.
