Cyber-attack on Air India compromises data of millions of customers

India's national airline, Air India, has declared a data breach due to a cyber-attack against its passenger data processing system, SITA PSS, affecting data processed over the past 10 years, which belong to approximately 4.5 million customers.

Following the first notification on February 2021, the company has published on its website, the data stolen are personal and contact information, passport, as well as credit card data.
