The British Parliament, victim of cybercrime

06/23/2017

A cyber attack on the British Parliament has prompted local authorities to block remote access to parliamentary e-mail as a precautionary measure because unauthorized attempts to access their accounts have been discovered.

Attacks similar to prisons and other public institutions in the country were detected in the same week, although the author of the attack is unknown.

In addition, British politicians and other prominent personalities in the country have been hit by another security incident as it has been discovered that after the theft of data to LinkedIn and MySpace in 2012, Russian crackers put their passwords on sale. Later, these data were made public for free.
