Andorra Telecom suffers several DDoS cyberattacks

Andorra Telecom, the telephone company of the Principality of Andorra, suffered a collapse of its network due to a series of DDoS cyber-attacks, mainly during the course of the streaming of a video game tournament.

The operator mitigated the attacks, but it was not enough to cope with the cyber-attack, which caused quite a few problems as the only state-owned operator.

A spokesperson for Andorra Telecom explained that the cyber-attack originated in 50 different countries, including Russia, South Korea, China and Brazil.
