A major DDoS attack knocks out all BBC websites
On December 31, 2015, All the BBC's websites were unavailable due to a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. The New World Hacking group claimed responsibility for the incident and inform the attack reached a peak of 602 Gbps, which would make it the largest DDoS attack in history surpassing the previous record peak attack 400Gbps . The group said the attack was only a test and that his goal is to disrupt online propaganda by Islamic State.
